T levels
Much work has yet to take place on T levels as part of the revolution in technical education in the Post 16 Skills Plans, through Expert Panels, the Institute for Apprenticeships and others identified in a high-level Advisory Board.
The Smith review also makes clear the importance of mathematical study, to include quantitative skills, statistics and data analysis.
Given the existing revolution that is Core Maths, there could be much to learn from these excellent qualifications when developing the mathematical content of T levels.
I am a member of the Department for Education’s HE National Stakeholder Group on A levels, and advising the DfE on similarities and differences between A levels, T levels and Core Maths.
